Life of Pi is directed by Ang Lee and is based on Yann Martel's 2001 novel Life of Pi. It’s a great movie. The message behind the movie makes perfect sense. This is an adventure drama movie with a blend of spiritualism and mysticism, an interesting blend of zoology and theology to explain the questions of the soul. It gives the reason and logic for believing in the existence of God.

Life Of Pie depicts the compassionate instinct of human beings that involves empathetic and altruistic emotions at the same time, it also shows the survival instinct (hunger can change everything you ever thought about yourself). Life of Pie is a critically and commercially successful film, with a 7.9 IMD rating and four academy awards for visual effects, direction, music, and cinematography. It has received eleven Oscar nominations.

Life of Pie tells a story of a teenager who takes an interest in religion and embraces three religions at once: Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam, the story revolves around the 227 days spent drifting in the Pacific Ocean in a survival boat with a Bengal tiger.

One of the best things about the movie is its music, especially its background score. Each BGM is rooted into the script perfectly. The music of this movie is a blend of Indian classical music, especially the sound of the flute, veena, and Tabla, with some Turkish and French influences in it. Each BGM will help you to connect and feel the emotional bond between each character. One of the best bgms are Pi's lullaby, Appa's lesson, Death of the Zebra, Piscine Molitor Patel, Anandi, Pondicherry, Leaving India and Which Story Do You Prefer. If you are the type of person who loves to listen to BGMs, then you should listen to those BGMs. It will help you to connect with the storyline.


The integration of live action with CGI is impressive and offers a realistic approach to the movie. In the film, there are a lot of eye-catching visual effects. The meerkat island, night sea, blue whale, and hail of flying fish. Life of Pi is genuinely a great movie.

| Movie Review Charlie    No Spoilers: An upbeat and uplifting film with a creative and unique plot, Charlie (Malayalam), which has received eight awards at the 46th Kerala State Film Awards, has remakes in Tamil and Marathi, received an IMD rating of 8/10, and has a lovely background score. This genre of movie is new to me. Tessa (Parvathy), a curious woman, and Charlie (Dulquer Salmaan), a free soul, are at the centre of the narrative.
